We are looking for excellent and highly motivated people who want to join NSG group as BSc, MSc students, PhD Researchers or postdoctoral fellows.

We are searching for a highly motivated candidate to work on the project ROOTS "ROOm Temperature Single-photon sources with tunable optical nanocavities" financially supported by the Excellence Project "Quantum Frontiers". The aim of the project is to develop novel single-photon sources to be operated in the telecom spectral range (1.55 microns). 

Duration: 24 months full-time (tentative starting date March 2025)

Salary: 24320.45 euros/year (gross)

Qualifications:
- PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience or similar subjects (mandatory)
- at least 12 months of post-doctoral experience (mandatory) on experimental nanophotonics in particular related to the design and characterization of nanoarchitectures (e.g., nanoarrays or multilayers) to be used to control the emission efficiency from quantum emitters.
- A good level of written and spoken English
- Optical setups know-how and optical spectroscopy background.

Deadline: May 13, 2025.
We are searching for a highly motivated PhD candidate to work on a project related to the development of novel materials for Quantum Technologies within the PhD Program in Physics. The main aim of the project is to develop novel single-photon sources to be operated in the telecom spectral range (1.55 microns).

Duration: 36 months full-time (starting date November 2025)

Salary: about 16000 euros/year (gross)

Qualifications:
- MSc in Physics, Materials Science, Nanoscience or similar subjects.
- A good level of written and spoken English
- an MSc thesis on topics related to light -matter interaction at the nanoscale with preferred optical setups know-how and optical spectroscopy background.
